Trump’s push on the Supreme Court may be his political end. Let us suppose he successfully gets full immunity from the Supreme Court. This would set a precedent for all presidents of the United States to have blanket protection on criminal/political acts.
Guess what? That includes the current president Joe Biden. In fact, that would put Joe Biden in a position to do anything, criminal or not to hold on to office, even if Trump wins the election. If I was a Republican I would not want this to happen.
At this time such a ruling by the Supreme Court will help Democrats more than Republicans. Democrats hold the presidency and the Senate. Wow! Think of the damage they can do to Republicans if Trump gets his way.
The bottom line is this. If you think you are helping the Republican Party by supporting Trump, think again.
